A messenger where privacy is not an option, but a foundation

Secure Communications Without Compromise

ZERO is a fundamentally new messenger created for those who value true privacy. We don't just encrypt your messages, we hide the very fact of communication using advanced steganography methods and dynamic encryption.

🔐

Multi-level Protection

Steganography + dynamic encryption + I2P routing provide an unparalleled level of security.

🔄

Dynamic Keys

Automatic rotation of keys and encryption algorithms ensures protection even during long-term monitoring.

👤

Metadata Protection

ZERO protects not only the content of messages but also all metadata about your communication.

Our Approach to Security

  • Complete transparency — the foundation of trust
  • Data minimization — we store only what's absolutely necessary
  • Ease of use never takes precedence over security
  • Security by default — no "optional" security elements

Why ZERO is Different from Other Messengers

Against the backdrop of growing threats to privacy and freedom of information, most popular messengers offer only a basic level of protection. ZERO reimagines the very concept of secure communications.

Unique Features

🔄

Two Operation Modes

Online mode for regular communication and offline mode with message transmission through steganographically protected images for maximum security.

⏱️

Self-Destructing Messages

Customizable message deletion timers provide an additional layer of protection. All messages automatically disappear after 62 hours by default.

🔒

Multi-level Password Protection

Each chat can be protected with a separate password, providing additional isolation and protection against unauthorized access.

Frequently Asked Questions

We created ZERO with real secure communication needs in mind. Here are answers to the most common questions about the security and privacy of our messenger.

Technical Security

Who has access to my messages besides the recipient?
No one. ZERO is built on the principle of absolute privacy. Thanks to end-to-end encryption and a "zero trust" architecture, even if our infrastructure is compromised, the content of messages remains inaccessible to third parties. We physically do not store the encryption keys needed to decrypt your messages.
Are my messages encrypted with end-to-end encryption?
Yes, and even more. ZERO uses a multi-layered protection system: end-to-end encryption (AES-256-GCM and ChaCha20-Poly1305) with dynamic key rotation, plus an additional layer of steganographic protection that hides the very fact of message exchange. Encryption keys are stored only on the devices of the conversation participants and are regularly updated.
Are my conversations stored on messenger servers?
No. Messages are stored only on the sender's and recipient's devices, and are automatically deleted after a customizable period of time (62 hours by default). ZERO servers function only as temporary routing nodes for encrypted packets and have no ability to store or decrypt content.
What does the messenger do with metadata (time, IP, geolocation)?
ZERO protects not only the content of messages but also the metadata. Routing through the I2P network hides real IP addresses. We don't collect geolocation data, and message timestamps are visible only to conversation participants. Exchanging messages through steganography in images and TCP/IP packets further complicates metadata analysis.
Can I completely delete a message so it cannot be recovered?
Yes. First, all messages in ZERO automatically self-destruct after a customizable period of time. Second, when manually deleting a message, a special memory overwrite technique is applied, eliminating the possibility of data recovery. In ZERO, deletion means complete and irreversible destruction of information on all devices.
Does the messenger support automatic encryption key rotation?
Yes, this is one of ZERO's key features. The dynamic key rotation system automatically changes not only the encryption keys after a certain number of messages but also the encryption algorithms themselves (alternating between AES-256-GCM and ChaCha20-Poly1305). New keys are transmitted through secure steganographic channels, making interception practically impossible.

Anonymity and Usage

Can I use the messenger without linking a phone number?
Yes, ZERO does not require a phone number, email, or other identifiers that could be linked to your identity. The initial contact exchange occurs through steganographically protected images, ensuring complete anonymity from the very beginning.
How can I protect my conversations from interception in public Wi-Fi networks?
ZERO provides complete protection even in untrusted networks. All connections are routed through the I2P network with multi-layer encryption, and key information is transmitted using steganography. Additionally, it's recommended to use password-protected chats and offline exchange mode in particularly sensitive situations.
Can I use the messenger without a constant internet connection?
Yes, ZERO has a unique "offline mode" that allows you to exchange messages through steganographically protected images. You can transfer such an image by any available means (USB drive, another messenger, email), and the recipient can extract the hidden message even without an internet connection.
Can the messenger be blocked or spoofed under censorship conditions?
ZERO is designed with operation in repressive environments in mind. Routing through I2P with dynamic tunnels makes blocking difficult. Offline mode allows message exchange even with a complete internet shutdown. Steganographic protection makes the traffic look like ordinary data, which complicates its identification by deep packet inspection (DPI) systems.

Policy and Trust Issues

Can the messenger share my data with third parties or government agencies?
No, and this is not just a policy — it's a technical impossibility. ZERO is designed so that we physically have no access to the content of messages or encryption keys. We don't collect metadata that could identify users. Even if a legal request is received, we can only provide encrypted packets without the ability to decrypt them.

Development Status

We're not creating "just another messenger" — we're building a fundamentally new architecture for secure communications. This takes time, but we're moving steadily and methodically.

Support the Project

ZERO is an independent project, not funded by large corporations. We fundamentally maintain independence to make no compromises on privacy issues. Your support will help us accelerate development and ensure stable progress.

Current Funding Status

To sustain development and ensure the long-term viability of this important privacy tool, we are actively seeking sustainable funding. We have submitted grant applications to two prominent privacy foundations in the EU and US, which are currently under review.

While we await decisions on these grants, continued community support is crucial to maintain our development momentum and ensure that ZERO remains a truly independent, privacy-focused project.
